RELIGION AND MEDICINE COLLOQUIUM

- The 3rd Biennial Religion and Medicine Colloquium "THE PHYSICIAN'S COVENANT: 5 Virtues Bearing on Medical Practice" will take place on Friday, December 1 from 8:30 am to 12 pm at the Hospital Wegmiller Auditorium. The featured speaker will be Dr. William F. May, the Cary M. Maguire Professor of Ethics at Southern Methodist University and founder of the University Department of Religious Studies. The colloquium will focus on becoming familiar with the basic virtues implicit in medical relationships rooted in covenant and applying these virtue-based ethics in clinical, social, and societal situations. The Hospital Departments of Medical Education and Pastoral Services will sponsor the program.
