Seeking outside assistance for a loved one with physical, cognitive or psychosocial needs
is a difficult process, for many reasons. There are numerous feelings that may emerge, and often physical or financial limitations that make the process even more challenging. Further, there are a variety
of options available. Deciding what is best for you and your loved one is a deeply personal decision. The Hospital Adult Day Center, a community-based group day program for older adults in need of supportive care, offers you a solution that may make your choice easier. Our mission is two-fold. First, we provide a safe environment for our clients along with programs that will enhance their daily living experiences. Second, we offer respite to caregivers on a regular basis from the physical and emotional demands of caring for an older adult with special needs. With this mission in mind, we've designed our services to assist clients in living to their full potential. We offer thoughtfully developed programming to promote physical well-being, creative expression and enhanced self-esteem. Programming includes: The Adult Day Center is staffed by gerontological specialists and volunteers who are dedicated to helping older adults achieve the highest possible quality of life. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., and lunch and snacks are provided.
